City to Get a New Emergency Facility
A new freestanding Emergency Department facility is set to built-in Addis Ababa, inside ALERT Hospital compound.
Ethiopian ministry of health and Etete Construction have signed construction agreement of today.
Speaking in the signing ceremony, Amir Aman (MD), minister at the ministry of health mentioned the growing number of accidents which causes of illness, disability, and death, as a pushing factor to open a new separate emergency care center.
We built the facility in order to improve and update medical services in this area, he said.
The construction of a 751 million birr 12 story facility building is expected to be completed in three years of the period.
The new building with 550-bedrooms will serve 2000 up to 5000 patients per day, according to Amir.
Since the company is experienced in various constructions and the cost is fully covered by the Ethiopian government, he added.
