Ethiopian Prince Marries Young American

Young American Marries African Royal

In a story that resembles the hit Eddie Murphy movie “Coming to America,” a young American Harvard art graduate recently married an African Royal. Ariana Austin was wed to the great-grandson of Emperor Haileselassie of Ethiopia in a largely Orthodox Christian wedding. 13 priests were reported to have presided over the ancient ceremonial rites.

Royal Couple Met inside Club Pearl in Washington D.C.

They met 12 years ago in a Washington D.C nightclub called Pearl. They have been together ever since.

The Independent and other news sources state that the Joel Makonnen did not reveal his identity to her until they started ‘dating seriously’.

Joel Makonnen is now 35 while his wife is 33.

Prince David Makonnen was raised in Italy following his parent’s exile back in 1974. At the time the Derg Communist Regime had ousted the then leader of Ethiopia, Emperor Haile Selassie.
