Learn How to Make Ethiopian Chiko
Chiko is Ethiopian traditional food. Especially in Gurage and Oromia region in celebration of weddings and holidays, it’s the main food.

- Important ingredients
- Barley Flour
- Melted Butter
- Corrorima powder
- Wide bowl
First, you prepare the wide bowl and but the barley flour in it and put some Corrorima powder and a small amount of salt. Then mix them both with a spoon. After you mix them up, put the melted butter in the flour and mix them with your hand as you see in the video. If necessary you can add more and more butter until it gets smoother.
After you mix everything well put it in a freezer for 30 minutes and it’s ready to be served.
