Car Accident Kills 38 in South Wollo


A public transportation bus carrying 48 people crashed into a ravine killing 38 passengers and injuring ten. Legambo Woreda Police Bureau’s Commander Muhammad Ahmed stated the injured travelers are receiving treatment for their wounds in a nearby health facility.

The bus crashed 5 meters down a gully on the side of the road, trees and large rocks preventing it from falling even further. Amhara Broadcasting states the accident took place yesterday in South Wollo Zone’s Legambo Woreda, in a village known as ‘Genete Selam Ber’.
