NISS Announce Reforms to Separate Security Service from Political link
The newly elected security chief general Adem Mohammad announced that security staffs who are members any political party has to quite there membership or resigned from their jobs at NISS,
Various reforms tasks are taking place to clean National Intelligence and Security Services (NISS) from any political connection, Adem said, on an introductory conference held to introduce the new leadership and recent reforms in the Service.
In his speech, Adem also stated that it is necessary to build an institution which best fits the new reform seen in the country.
Adding that the nation is in a rapid economic and political changes that demand a very overhaul of the security system.
According to the revised duty, NISS is restructured in a way to serve every Ethiopian equally and to promote public participation in the security issues, he added.
Furthermore, he also states that there will be organizational restructuring in a near future.
