PM Appoints Four Officials in Federal Gov’t Positions
Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has assigned four officials for the Federal government positions today, according to Fana Broadcasting Corporation.
Temesgen Tiruneh, the former Director General of Information Network Security Agency (INSA) is appointed as prime ministers senior advisor on National Security Affairs.
Dese Dalke, the former president of South Nationa Nationalities and People is also named to be Agriculture and Irrigation advisor.
Binalf Andualem, has assigned to be a coordinator of capacity building center with the Rank of a Minister.
Binalf who is one of the Executive Committee members of ADP was served in various government positions in the region.
Melese Alemu is appointed to head the Democracy Building Center with the rank of a minister.
Before his new job, Melese has served in different government positions including anti-corruption commission and Ministry of Mine.
Effective from today October 17, 2018, the appointment of the officials is based on their political performance and educational backgrounds, according to the prime minister’s office.
Yesterday, parliament approved 20 cabinet members including half female members for the first time in history.
