Ethiopia Signs 130m Euros Grant Agreement with European Commission
A total amount of 130 million euros, about 4.1 billion birr grant agreement has been signed between the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the European Commission, Office of the Prime Minister-Ethiopia reports today.
Prime minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) and European Union Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker have witnessed the signing of three financing agreements in a ceremony held at Brussels the capital of Belgium.
This grant has been availed to support sustainable energy initiatives, the establishment of agro-industry parks and job creation, according to the office.
December last year, A total amount of 20 million euros grant agreement to improve health and nutrition has been signed between Ethiopia and the Commission.
